Industry-Leading Warranty Protection for Tampa Homeowners

When you invest in a new HVAC system, you deserve protection that matches the investment. TampaCool backs every installation with one of the most comprehensive warranty packages in the Tampa Bay area — because we stand behind our work and the equipment we install.

Our warranty is not fine print designed to deny claims. It is a straightforward commitment: if something goes wrong with the equipment or our workmanship, we make it right at no additional cost to you within the warranty period.

What Our Warranty Covers

10-Year Parts Warranty

Every system we install includes a full 10-year manufacturer parts warranty. If any factory component fails within 10 years of installation, the replacement part is covered at no cost. This includes compressors, condenser coils, evaporator coils, fan motors, control boards, capacitors, contactors, reversing valves, and all other factory-installed components.

1-Year Labor Warranty

Our 1-year labor warranty covers the cost of technician time for any warranty repair during the first 12 months after installation. If a covered part fails within the first year, you pay nothing — parts and labor are both fully covered.

Lifetime Compressor Warranty (Select Models)

The compressor is the heart of your AC system and the most expensive component to replace. Select premium models from Trane, Carrier, and Rheem include a lifetime compressor warranty for the original homeowner. This means if the compressor ever fails for the life of the system, the replacement compressor is covered. Ask us which models qualify during your free estimate.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not completely satisfied with your new system within the first 30 days of installation, we will work with you to resolve the issue — whether that means adjusting the system, adding zones, modifying ductwork, or finding another solution. Our goal is your complete comfort.

What Is Covered vs. What Is Not

Covered Under Warranty

  • All factory-installed parts (compressor, coils, motors, boards, capacitors, contactors, valves)
  • Manufacturing defects in any component
  • Premature component failure under normal operating conditions
  • Refrigerant recharge if loss is due to a manufacturer defect
  • Replacement equipment if a component cannot be repaired
  • Labor for all repairs within the first 12 months (1-year labor warranty)

Not Covered Under Warranty

  • Damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, or flooding (homeowner's insurance typically covers these)
  • Damage from improper use, neglect, or failure to maintain the system (dirty filters, blocked vents)
  • Cosmetic damage to the outdoor unit (dents, scratches, discoloration)
  • Ductwork issues unrelated to the original installation
  • Thermostat batteries and thermostat replacement (thermostats carry their own manufacturer warranty)
  • Refrigerant recharge due to third-party damage or installation by another company
  • Labor costs after the 1-year labor warranty period (parts remain covered for 10 years)

How to File a Warranty Claim

Filing a warranty claim with TampaCool is simple and fast. There is no runaround, no call centers, and no waiting weeks for approval.

  1. Call us at (813) 555-1234. Describe the issue you are experiencing. Our team will determine if it is likely a warranty item based on your system age and the symptoms.
  2. We schedule a service visit. A technician comes to your home, diagnoses the problem, and confirms whether the repair is covered under warranty.
  3. We handle the paperwork. If it is a warranty repair, we file the claim directly with the manufacturer. You do not need to contact the manufacturer yourself.
  4. Repair is completed. If we have the part on our truck, it is fixed the same day. If a part needs to be ordered, we expedite shipping and return to complete the repair as quickly as possible.

Tip: Keep your installation paperwork and register your equipment with the manufacturer (we help you do this at install). Registering your system is required by most manufacturers to activate the full 10-year parts warranty. Without registration, parts coverage may be reduced to 5 years.

This means if a covered part fails in year 3 or year 7, you pay nothing — not even the labor. Ask about our extended labor plans during your installation consultation.

Protect Your Warranty: Maintenance Requirements

Most manufacturer warranties require proof of annual professional maintenance to remain valid. Skipping maintenance can void your parts warranty. TampaCool offers affordable annual maintenance plans that keep your system running efficiently and your warranty intact. Our maintenance plan includes two visits per year (spring and fall), priority scheduling, and a discount on any repairs.

HVAC Warranty & Guarantees FAQs

The 10-year manufacturer parts warranty covers every factory-installed component in your HVAC system. This includes the compressor, condenser coil, evaporator coil, fan motors, control boards, capacitors, contactors, reversing valves, and all other original parts. If any covered component fails due to a manufacturing defect or premature failure within 10 years, the replacement part is provided at no cost. You must register your equipment with the manufacturer to activate the full 10-year coverage — we help you do this at the time of installation.

Yes. Most manufacturers require proof of annual professional maintenance to keep the parts warranty active. This typically means at least one professional tune-up per year, though we recommend two (spring and fall) in Tampa due to the heavy usage. TampaCool offers maintenance plans that satisfy this requirement and include documentation we keep on file for warranty claims.

The parts warranty covers the cost of replacement components if they fail — you get the part for free. The labor warranty covers the cost of the technician's time to install that part. Our standard package includes 10 years on parts and 1 year on labor. After the first year, if a part fails under warranty, the part is free but you pay for the service call and labor to install it — unless you purchased our extended labor warranty, which covers labor for up to 10 years.

Lifetime compressor warranties are available on select premium models from Trane (XV series), Carrier (Infinity series), and Rheem (Prestige series). The lifetime compressor warranty covers the original registered homeowner for as long as they own the home. If you sell the home, coverage reverts to the standard 10-year warranty for the new owner. We will identify which models qualify during your free estimate.

Most warranty repairs are completed in a single visit on the same day. Our trucks carry the most commonly needed parts. If a less common part needs to be ordered from the manufacturer, typical wait time is 2 to 5 business days. We expedite all warranty parts orders and schedule the follow-up repair as soon as the part arrives. If your system is completely down while waiting, we will discuss temporary solutions to keep you comfortable.
